Information about Port Said
Port Said is a coastal Egyptian city nicknamed the Valiant City, and it represents the administrative capital of Port Said Governorate, which also includes Port Fouad. Northeast Egypt is located in a privileged position at the head of the northern entrance to the Suez Canal. It is bordered on the north by the Mediterranean Sea, on the east by Port Fouad city located in the Sinai Peninsula, on the south by Ismailia governorate, and on the west by three governorates (Damietta governorate from the northwest, Dakahlia governorate from the west, and Sharkia governorate from the southwest). Its area is approximately 845,445 km², and its population, according to the 2010 census, is approximately 524,433, after the administrative separation of Port Fouad district as a city in 2010.
