Ras Sidr is an Egyptian city located on the Gulf of Suez on the Red Sea coast and it belongs to the South Sinai Governorate. It consists of three areas: Wadi Sidr, Sidr and Abu Suwayra. The area has been known since the time of the ancient Egyptians, the Prophet Moses, Jesus, the Greeks and the Romans.
It is increasingly visited by tourists, as the region has sandy coasts with few seaweeds and sea salts, and calm waters. It has tourist attractions such as the “Soldier’s Castle” or “Sidr Castle”, a fortress of rock that was established during the direction of the armies of Salah al-Din to fight the Crusaders, and it also has the famous Pharaoh’s baths, which pulse with water from the mountain, a tourist attraction, in addition to the inscriptions of the cave area, Ain Ras Sidr sulfur .
