Information about Safaga

Safaga, an Egyptian city, administratively follows the Red Sea Governorate.
Safaga contains many tourist villages. It is also considered specialized in diving training, holding fishing competitions and many recreational tourism activities. There are a number of world-famous hotels and fish restaurants in Safaga. Safaga is characterized by black sand useful in treating some skin diseases and chronic joint diseases such as psoriasis and rheumatoid.
There are high quality diving centers in Safaga due to the large number of diving places there. The most famous of them is Sharm El-Naga, which is close to the beach, 40 km from Hurghada and a few km north of Safaga. The shallowest part of the reef, at a depth of only 4 meters, is composed of fire reefs and fan reefs. Varieties of fish, huge octopus and seashells.
